	Every trader knowingly or unwittingly trades persistence - but many are completely unaware of its critical impact on and for their trading results. Persistence is the tendency for any market move to continue in the same direction for various additional periods of time or various additional periods of price steps. And persistence differs markedly between markets.     So without doubt, persistence is one of the two key concepts that is unknown to the majority of traders - the other key concept is the improved reward to risk ratio available from some spreads.. Put bluntly, if a trend-follower or a counter-trend trader is unaware of the persistence attributes of his/her favourite market they are probably trading the wrong market, in the wrong manner, for their chosen trading style! There are at least two views one can take on persistence:         • time based persistence,         • price based persistence.
