	It is common for newer traders, and even some who should know better, to try and over-optimise their trading system. The demand is so high, there are even commercial services to support such requirements. The process of trying to maximise the fit of entry/exit and other criteria of a trading system is a worthy enough ambition in itself.     Where it becomes a problem is when:         • it is taken to an extreme,         • most of the focus is on the trading system optimisation not           improving trader behaviour,         • insufficient time is given to testing each version on future data before           making the next change.
